Indomeneo made a promising start to his racing career at Newcastle last month finishing second and went one better at Wetherby. The Piccolo colt made all under jockey Tony Hamilton and showed a fantastic attitude when challenged over the final furlong. He was headed a couple of times but battled back to get up and win by a head for owners Middleham Park Racing.

Full Of Promise then won at Carlisle for the Richard Fahey Ebor Racing Club. Paul Hanagan in the saddle this time and he held her up behind the leaders and only started to make a move approaching the final furlong. When they hit the front they powered clear to win by two-and-a-quarter-lengths.
