SOCIETY RED IS WINNER 3000!

Society Red became the 3000th winner trained by Richard when scoring by a head at Lingfield on Friday under jockey Tony Hamilton. Settled just in behind but tracking the leaders, he was ridden and went second on the inner two furlongs out. Tony then switched him right over a furlong out. Red made a strong challenge and despite being bumped inside the final 110 yards, he kept on to lead towards finish. Congratulations to owner M J Macleod.

A THURSDAY DOUBLE

The yard’s good form in January continued with an across the card double on Thursday. Double Dealing broke his maiden impressively at Lingfield while Elusive Treat kept on best to record a second career race win at Newcastle.

Double Dealing was the first winner of the day scoring comfortably by four lengths under jockey Barry McHugh. Always in behind and tracking the leader, he was shaken up to lead up the centre over a furlong out. He was pushed along and went clear inside the final 110 yards, being eased towards the finish. Elusive Treat completed the double and in doing so won his second race in a row. Held up in the rear he was switched left and began to make headway over two furlongs out. He was shaken up and led over a furlong out keeping on strongly inside the final furlong to score by one-and-a-quarter-lengths under a good ride from jockey Billy Garritty. DELPH ON THE BOARD AGAIN

Delph Crescent won for the first time on the all-weather at Southwell on Wednesday under a great front running ride by apprentice jockey Connor Murtagh. Delph was asked to make all and he did not being ridden until over a furlong out. He kept on well in the three runner contest to win comfortably by two-and-a-half-lengths. NURSE DEE GETS A WELL EARNT WIN

Nurse Dee finally broke her maiden at the tenth time of asking at Wolverhampton on Monday under a good ride from apprentice Laura Pearson. Settled towards the rear of midfield she was pushed along and made headway two furlongs out. She was close up and ridden to challenge over a furlong out, taking the lead inside the final furlong. She was pushed out towards finish to record her first win. Congratulations to owner Anthony F O’Callaghan.

REQUINTO DOUBLES UP

Requinto Dawn won his second race in a row at Southwell on Sunday under a great ride from apprentice jockey Connor Murtagh. Always chasing the leaders Requinto was pushed along two furlongs out. He was ridden a furlong out, and kept on well to take a lead he wouldn’t surrender inside the final 110 yards, winning by three quarters of a length. ST JAMES IS A STAR AGAIN!

Star of St James won his second race in the space of eight days at Southwell on Friday. Settled close up by jockey George Bass, he was pushed along when he joined the leader two furlongs out. He was then ridden and led narrowly over a furlong out, keeping on inside final furlong he always doing enough to win and scored by half-a-length. Big congratulations to owners The Market Men.

LIGHTNING STRIKES AT NEWCASTLE

Ventura Lightning got his head back in front for the time since his two year old season at Newcastle on Tuesday under a perfectly timed ride from jockey Tony Hamilton. Settled at the rear of the field he was nudged along over two furlongs out. Tony then began to push him along and was soon making headway over a furlong out. He was ridden inside final furlong and kept on to take lead in the final strides to win by a head. Congratulations to all owners involved in the Middleham Park Racing LXXXI & Partner syndicate.

AMAYSMONT WINS AGAIN

Amaysmont won his second race in his last three starts at Chelmsford on Saturday under a well judged ride from apprentice Laura Pearson. Settled at the rear of the field in last, he was pushed along and began to make headway on the outer with just under two furlongs to go. He was close up when ridden a furlong out and took the lead inside final furlong, winning by two-and-three-quarter-lengths. Congratulations to owner Graham Paver.

GABRIAL THE DEVIL WINS AT SOUTHWELL

Gabrial The Devil continued the yards good early start to 2021 by winning at Southwell on Friday under jockey Connor Murtagh. Settled close up to the leaders he took the lead after the first furlong. He was then pushed along under two furlongs out and was ridden over a furlong out, he kept on well to score by two-and-three-quarter-lengths. Congratulations to owner Dr Marwan Koukash.

Star Of St James continued his good recent form at Southwell on Thursday, scoring very impressively by six-and-a-half lengths under jockey Graham Lee. Settled close up just behind the leaders he took a lead over three furlongs out. Shaken up two furlongs out, he went clear over a furlong out. He ran on well to record the second win of his career.
