We had a nice double at Newcastle with Wirral Girl getting the ball rolling in the first race on the card. Russell Harris was onboard in the apprentice handicap and they were always prominent. They sat behind the leader and took up the running approaching the final two furlongs. They stayed on really strongly and won by an impressive eight-lengths for the Richard Fahey Ebor Racing Club.

Dubai Acclaim picked up the second win of his career. He tracked the leader under jockey Paddy Mathers and had the lead inside the final furlong. He stayed on well under pressure and held on to win by a neck. Owners Steve and Glen Clayton were there to welcome him back into the winners enclosure.
