It had been a very frustrating few days at Chester, with horses running really well without winning. Over the entire week across different tracks we had 20 placed horses so it was fantastic to get a Friday winner with Khelman. We thought that he might just need the run but he was handed a good draw from stall one. He was held up in mid division by Adam McNamara and they started to make an impression two furlongs from home. They didn’t get a clear run but when Adam found some room he ran on and stayed on strongly to win by three-quarters-of-a-length.
