We finished May with 29 winners for the month with an across-the-card double at Nottingham and Ripon. Paramount Love has been placed on four of her seven starts so it was great to see her get her head in front. The Pivotal filly made all under jockey Barry McHugh and ran on really strongly. She was never going to be challenged and was eased down to win by four-and-a-half-lengths for owner Sheikh Hamed Dalmook Al Maktoum.
Northwest Frontier won his second race on the bounce. He followed on from his success at Nottingham eight days earlier with another strong performance. He tracked the leaders under Paul Hanagan and was switched left three furlongs from home to get a clear run. He lead with two furlongs to go and stayed on to win by two-and-a-half-lengths for owner Sir Robert Ogden.
