The St Leger meeting got off to a great start with two winners on the first day. Andok won well on debut and he showed a great attitude to win on his second start. He was always in a prominent position under jockey Tony Hamilton and they had the lead inside the final furlong. He had to battle to victory with Appointed but got up to win by a head. He’s a horse with a lot of scope and one to look forward to as a three-year-old.

We doubled up with Stamp Hill for owners Merchant and Missionaries. Different tactics by Tony this time who held the Zoffany gelding up towards the rear. They made headway over the final two furlongs and once they took up the lead they stayed on well to win by a head.
