Aimez La Vie picked up her second win of the season at Thirsk. She was held up in mid-division by jockey Paul Hanagan and started to make headway over the final two furlongs. She travelled well on the ground which was good to soft and took up the lead a furlong out. She stayed on well to win by three-quarters-of-a-length for owners Mr and Mrs Wrigley.

There was a memorable evening for apprentice Sebastian Woods as he won the opener at York on In First Place. They went off very quick and Seb was happy to sit towards the rear of the field. He started to make headway approaching the final two furlongs and edged left to get a bit of daylight. He stayed on really well and pulled clear of his rivals to win by two lengths.
