Following on from Thursday night’s three-timer we then had another three winners on Friday to give us six in a row. We had a double at Musselburgh starting with Call Him Al. He picked up his first win on his fourth start. It didn’t all go to plan with him hanging on the bend. He was headed inside the final two furlongs but rallied under Paul Hanagan to lead again approaching the furlong pole. He stayed on well to win by a neck.
It was fantastic to see Crotchet get her head in front. She’s been ultra consistent being placed in four of her six starts this season. She chased the leaders and had the lead inside the final furlong. She stayed on to win by three-quarters-of-a-length for Cheveley Park Stud.
Good Tyne Girl picked up her second win on just her fifth start. She tracked the leaders under Paddy Mathers and mounted a challenge over the final two furlongs. She had the lead at the furlong pole and stayed on to win by a length for Middleham Park Racing.
