ANOTHER DOUBLE

Zip and Silver Dust gave us an across the card double within ninety minutes of each on Friday at Haydock and Hamilton respectively.

Zip won smartly be always doing enough to win by three quarters of a length under jockey Tony Hamilton. He was always chasing the leaders and when asked for an effort he responded well to take the lead with a over a furlong to go. He was never headed as he got his first win of 2020. Silver Dust continued his great form in 2020 by winning his third start in his last four races under jockey Barry McHugh. Always prominent he was asked to challenge two furlongs out and responded to take the lead inside the last furlong. He stayed on well to take the win by three quarters of a length. CATTERICK TREBLE WITH MIGHTY, ZIP & DEVIL

It was nice to have some racing today with lots of abandonments and we sent out three winners at Catterick. Mighty Spirit showed a really good attitude under P J McDonald. They pressed the leader and took up the lead approaching the final furlong. He stayed on strongly under pressure and got up to win by a neck for owner John Dance.

Zip has been knocking on the door this season so it was great to see him get his head in front. He tracked the leaders under Sean Davis and had the lead inside the final furlong. He ran on strongly to win by a length for the Knavesmire Partnership.

Gabrial The Devil bought up the treble under Paul Hanagan. He was always in contention and chased down the leaders inside the final furlong. He got up to win by three-quarters-of-a-length for owner Dr Marwan Koukash.
