BUSY WEEK FOR WASNTEXPECTINGTHAT

Wasntexpectingthat finished second at Wolverhampton on Saturday but followed up with a win at Southwell the very next day. He’s been running really well and jockey Megan Nicholls took up a really nice position on the inside tracking the leaders. The gap came on the turn for home and they were always travelling nicely. He hit the front on the bridle and stayed on to win by two-and-a-quarter-lengths for owners The Good Bad Ugly and Deaf.

ROYAL COSMIC WINS MOTHERS RACE

Royal Cosmic won the race at Musselburgh named after her Dam. Cosmic Case was a seven-time winner at the track. She was always in contention under jockey Brian Hughes and lead when travelling really well two from home. She edged left on the run-in but stayed on to win by a length-and-a-quarter for owners and breeders the Cosmic Cases.

We also had a winner of the all-weather at Newcastle. Wasntexpectingthat made it three wins from four starts in the last two months. He was held up by jockey Barry McHugh and made headway over the final two furlongs. They took up the lead and pulled clear to win by two-and-three-quarter-lengths.

TWO ON THE BOUNCE FOR WASNTEXPECTINGTHAT

Wasntexpectingthat followed up on his success at Newcastle last month with another course and distance win. He was held up towards the rear in the centre group by jockey Barry McHugh. They made headway but were tight for room approaching the final furlong. He was switched right and stayed on really strongly to win by a length-and-a-quarter. He got a warm welcome back by the owners The Good Bad Ugly And Deaf.

Wasntexpectingthat has had a stop start to his racing career after a promising start so it was nice to see him back in the winners enclosure at Newcastle. He was held up towards the rear of the field on the nearside group by jockey Barry McHugh. He was always travelling well and when he hit the front he stayed on strongly to win by a length-and-three-quarters.
