Sanaadh won the opening race on the card at Thirsk under jockey David Nolan. This was only her third start and she was held up behind the leaders before making a challenge inside the final furlong. She took up the lead and stayed on strongly to win by a neck for owner Jaber Abdullah.
We followed up that win with Island Flame, Robert Winston in the saddle this time. The three-year-old was held up towards the back of the field and looked to have a lot to do. She started to make ground two furlongs from home and battled for the lead inside the final furlong. She stayed on to win by a length-and-a-quarter for owners Northumbria Leisure Ltd.
