DESIRE WINS AT CATTERICK

It had been a bit of a frustrating day with lots of placed horses at Ayr. Growl ran a brilliant race to finish second in the Ayr Gold Cup and we managed to get some black type for Rosebride and Belle Meade who finished second and third in the Group Three Firth Of Clyde Stakes. Desire was our final runner of the day and our only runner at Catterick. The four-year-old has been running well this season and was placed on her last two starts. She was held up in mid-division by jockey George Chaloner and started to make headway two furlongs out. She battled over the final furlong with Coolcalmcollected and showed a great attitude to get up on the line to win by a head.

ROSEBRIDE STORMS TO LEICESTER WIN

Rosebride has been pretty consistent on her first four starts winning once and placed twice. Richard thought that a hood might just help her and it did the trick at Leicester. She was held up towards the rear by jockey Adam McNamara and they started to make headway two furlongs from home. Once they hit the front they pulled clear to win by a very comfortable three lengths, to continue the great season for Cheveley Park Stud.

ROSEBRIDE WINS AT RIPON

Rosebride followed up on her second at Leicester to win at Ripon and hand sire Mayson another winner. The two-year-old filly was always prominent under jockey Tony Hamilton and they lead a furlong out. She stayed on readily to win by three-quarters-of-a-length. It’s another good result for Cheveley Park Stud who also had a winner on the day at Royal Ascot with Persuasive.
