Ramesses was given a great ride by apprentice Sean Davis to win at Ayr. They jumped out well and took an early lead but Astrologer wanted to make the running and set a strong pace. He went clear halfway and Sean set about cutting down his lead. He travelled strongly to get to the front and took the lead inside the final furlong. He stayed on to win by three-quarters-of-a-length for owner Sir Robert Ogden.

Ramesses is slightly raced but he’s been very consistent on all of his starts. He had to suffer a little at Leicester getting bumped at the start and having to sit towards the rear. He was always travelling really nicely and was given a great ride by Tony Hamilton. He did hang when he hit the front over the final furlong but Tony made sure he stuck to his task and he won nicely in the end for owner Sir Robert Ogden.
