LUIS STILL GOING STRONG AT SEVEN

Luis Vaz De Torres has been so consistent he’s won and been placed on all six of his last starts and he won again at Lingfield. He chased the leaders under jockey Paul Mulrennan and waited to well inside the final furlong to make his move. He stayed on well under pressure and got up to win by a neck for owners Lets Go Racing 1.

BEVERLEY WIN FOR LUIS

Luis Vaz De Torres picked up his eighth win of his career with victory at Beverley. A strong pace was set and apprentice Sean Davis dropped him in towards the rear of the field. He started to make progress over the final two furlongs but had to be patient for a gap to open up. When it did he battled well on the rail and got up to win by a neck. There were plenty there from Lets Go Racing 1 to welcome him back.

LUIS VAZ DE TORRES POUNCES TO AYR WIN

Luis Vaz De Torres was given a great ride by apprentice Connor Murtagh to win at Ayr. There was a frantic pace and Connor was happy to sit towards the rear. He was travelling strongly but had to be patient for a gap to appear. When he it did well inside the final furlong Luis picked up strongly and pounced to grab victory by a neck for owners Lets Go Racing 1.

LUIS BATTLES FOR WETHERBY SUCCESS

Luis Vaz De Torres showed a determined attitude to win the feature race at Wetherby. He took a keen hold and was always in touch under jockey Paul Hanagan. He made headway and lead approaching the final two furlongs. He was headed in the final furlong but he wasn’t for beating and got in front again and stayed on gamely to win by a head. There were plenty of owners from Lets Go Racing 1 to welcome him back into the winners enclosure.

MUSSELBURGH DOUBLE

Aimez La Vie has been a very consistent filly, she’s been placed on four of her five starts and broke her maiden tag at Musselburgh despite not loving the track. She wasn’t that keen on the bend but she showed a fantastic attitude under Paul Hanagan. She made headway over the final two furlongs and stayed on strongly to get her head in front and stay on to win by a short head. A great result for owners Mr and Mrs Wrigley.

We then doubled up with Luis Vaz De Torres. He’s been showing a really good attitude at home and this was his second win on the bounce. He was always in contention but was carried left three furlongs out. He made headway over the final two furlongs and ran on to take the lead towards the finish. He stayed on to win by three-quarters-of-a-length for owners Lets Go Racing 1.

WINS FOR MONACO ROSE & LUIS

Our fantastic start to the season continued with a double at Catterick. Monaco Rose was given a good ride by apprentice Adam McNamara to hand her her first win. They tracked the leaders on the inside and was ridden to challenge over a furlong out. She stayed on well and pulled clear to win by a length-and-a-half for owner Dr Marwan Koukash.

Luis Vaz De Torres was always prominent under jockey Barry McHugh and he sat second with five furlongs to go. he started to make his move approaching the final furlong and showed a go attitude to power clear and win by a length. It was a great result for Lets Go Racing 1 and there were plenty of them there to welcome him back into the winners enclosure.

WHAT A DAY: CATTERICK TREBLE

Queen Kindly won the opener at Catterick and another filly Invermere then went on to win the feature. This was only her second start after a break of 196 days and she showed a fantastic attitude. She got a good start under jockey Tony Hamilton and tracked the leaders. She started to battle over the final furlong and when she hit the lead she wasn’t going to give it up. She stayed on to win by a neck for owner McCulloch Bloodstock Limited.

Invereme

Our third winner at the track was Luis Vaz De Torres and it was great to see him get his head in front, he has been a bit frustrating. He chased the leaders two furlongs from home under jockey Tom Eaves and had taken up the lead inside the final furlong. He stayed on well to beat Best Trip by a length and there were plenty of members of Lets Go Racing 1 to welcome him back into the winners enclosure.
