JUMPS WINNER – JUDGE EARLE

We had a rare runner over the jumps yesterday and it was a winning one at Perth. Judge Earle was having his first run since a wind operation and it seemed to do the trick. He tracked the leaders under Brian Hughes and was jumping well. He had the lead before two out and stayed on well to win by eight lengths for owner David Armstrong.

FIRST WINS FOR DAN TROOP & JUDGE EARLE

Dan Troop got his three-year-old career off to a great start with a win at Musselburgh. He was held up towards the rear by jockey David Nolan and only started to make headway approaching the final furlong. He ran on to take up the lead and stayed on well to win by a length-and-three-quarters.

Judge Earle then went on to win the bumper at Sedgefield. He made all under jockey Craig Nichol. They were challenged by the favourite approaching the line but he held on to win by a head for owner David Armstrong.
