WINS FOR LION, LOVE & IRREVERENT

We had a nice treble on Saturday including two winners at Thirsk. International Lion got things started picking up the first win of his career. He was slowly away under Paddy Mathers and was asked for an effort on the outside over the final two furlongs. He picked up really well and made up a lot of ground to get up on the line and win by a neck.

Irreverent won nicely under Paul Hanagan. They tracked the leader and then joined him two furlongs from home. He took up the lead and won comfortably by a length-and-a-half for owners Mr and Mrs Wrigley.

Moon Of Love bought up the treble with a win at Wolverhampton. She tracked the leader under Barry McHugh and was asked for an effort approaching the final furlong. She had the lead over the last 50 yards and won by half-a-length. It was great to see her pick up her first win for owner The Cool Silk Partnership. Barry went on to ride his first ever treble!

THREE WINNERS IN TEN MINUTES

It was a fantastic ten minutes on Saturday with three winners across three tracks with three different jockeys. Space Traveller got the ball rolling at Royal Ascot winning the Group 3 Jersey Stakes. Irreverent then won nicely at Ayr under Paul Hanagan. He was held up and then asked for an effort on the outside a furlong from home. He soon had the lead and was pushed clear to win by two-and-three-quater-lengths. A great result for owners Mr and Mrs Wrigley.

Get The Rhythm won on his seasonal reappearance at Redcar. He was outpaced early on but made good headway two furlongs from home under apprentice Connor Murtagh. He chased down the leaders and stayed on strongly to get up and win by half-a-length. The win meant Connor rode out his five pound claim.

IRREVERENT SECURES FIRST WIN

Irreverent broke his maiden tag at the fourth time of asking with a nice display at Wetherby. He was always in touch under Paul Hanagan and they made headway over the final two furlongs. They made their challenge down the outside and stayed on strongly to win by three-quarters-of-a-length. Owners Mr and Mrs Wrigley were there to welcome him back into the winners enclosure.
