GABRIAL THE WIRE WINS AT THE WIRE

Gabrial The Wire arrived in the final stride to win at Musselburgh under a perfectly timed ride from Tony Hamilton. He was always in a prominent position after a slow start. He was asked for an effort around two furlongs out and although he didn’t respond immediately he gamely kept on and managed to get his nose down at the right time when crossing the line. Congratulations to owner Dr Marwan Koukash.

WINNERS FLY IN AT CHESTER

We had three winners at Chester over two days. Noble Prospector made it two wins in a row and he’s got a good partnership with Megan Nicholls who’s been in the saddle for both victories. He was held up in touch at Chester and was switched to the outer on the turn for home. They picked up really strongly and stayed on to win by two-lengths for owners Mr and Mrs Cotton.

We then had a double for owner Dr Marwan Koukash. Gabrial The Tiger made all under Connor Murtagh and held off the fast finishing Gabrial The Devil to win by a short head. That’s the Tiger’s 13th win of his career and his 5th at the track.

Gabrial The Wire then won under Paul Hanagan. He chased the leaders and took up the lead entering the final furlong. He stayed on well to win by two-and-a-quarter-lengths.

GABRIAL’S LIGHT UP CHESTER

Dr Marwan Koukash had another good day at his favourite track Chester with Gabrial The Saint and Gabrial The Wire winning on Saturday.

Gabrial The Saint was held up by jockey Paddy Mathers. He made headway on the turn for home and was switched left approaching the final furlong to challenge. He lead approaching the line and stayed on to win by half a length.

Gabrial The Wire chased the leaders under Barry McHugh. He waited for a run down the inner and lead with a furlong to go. He pulled clear to win by two-and-a-half-lengths.

DONCASTER DOUBLE FOR DR KOUKASH

There was a nice double at Doncaster for Dr Marwan Koukash. Gabrial The Wire won nicely under Paul Hanagan to get things started. He was held up towards the rear and was pushed for an effort two furlongs from home. He hit the front inside the final furlong and stayed on to win by a length-and-three-quarters.

Brian The Snail got his head back in front and we’re hoping for a good season. He was always in contention and showed a good attitude to battle to the front. Once he was there he pulled clear to win by a length-and-a-quarter.

FOUR WINNERS AT CHESTER

It’s been another great two days at Chester with four winners. Amazing Michele got the ball rolling winning for Nick Bradley Racing. She chased the leaders under James Sullivan and was second approaching the final two furlongs. She challenged inside the final furlong and got up on the line to force a photo finish with Hidden Steps. She got up to win by a short head.

We then had three winners for Dr Marwan Koukash. The first was Rene Mathis and it was great to see him get his head in front again at the age of eight. He made all under David Nolan and showed a good attitude when pressed approaching the finish. He stayed on well to win by three-quarters-of-a-length.

Penwotham bought up the treble on Friday. He chased the leaders and lead entering the final furlong. He stayed on to win by a length.

Gabrial The Wire then put in an empathetic performance on Saturday. He made all under Jack Grarritty and when asked for an effort on the turn for home he pulled clear. He was eased down to win by four-and-a-half-lengths.
