Exceptional won on her return to the track after 356 days off, recording a very comfortable five-and-a-half-length success under a great ride from jockey Barry McHugh.Β  Always settled in a prominent position she made her move with two furlongs to go and never looked like being challenged finding plenty to win her second race in her three career starts. Many congratulations to her owners Cheveley Park Stud.

Exceptional made a really pleasing debut at Carlisle under Tony Hamilton. She sat towards the rear of the field and had quite a lot of work to do approaching the final furlong. She picked up really strongly and when she hit the front she pulled clear to win by three-quarters-of-a-length. She’s a full sister to Ayr Gold Cup winner Don’t Touch and looks a nice prospect for owners Cheveley Park Stud.
