The winners are ticking over nicely in May and we had another double this time at Beverley. Dylan De Vega finished second on debut at Nottingham last month and so it was no surprise to see him win at the second time of asking. He lead after a furlong under Tony Hamilton and that’s where he stayed. He did give us a bit of a scare swerving left approaching the final furlong but ran on well to win by three-lengths for owner-breeder Smarden Thoroughbreds.
Crownthorpe has been running well and he’s a horse we have always liked. He had to sit and suffer a bit under apprentice Sean Davis sitting towards the rear of the field. They had to wait patiently for the gaps to open but when they did he wasn’t for catching and won by three lengths. A great result for the Richard Fahey Ebor Racing Club.
