It was great to see Doctor Cross win again. He sat just behind the leaders under David Nolan and went second three furlongs from home. He showed a good attitude to battle his way to the front and got up to win by a neck for owners Havelock Racing.

It’s Royal Ascot week but we have plenty of runners elsewhere and we had a treble at Hamilton. Baronial Pride got the ball rolling winning on debut for Nick Bradley Racing. The Mayson colt was slowly away and had no choice to sit last under jockey Tony Hamilton. He was pushed along a furlong out and he found a gap between horses. He picked up really strongly and pulled clear to get up and win by two-lengths.

Sioux Frontier then picked up his first win. The three-year-old tracked the leaders and started to make headway approaching the final furlong. He showed a good attitude to battle with Admiral Rooke and got up to win by a neck for owner Mrs Una Towell.

Connor Murtagh bought up the treble in the apprentice race onboard Royal Cosmic. He sat on midfield but dropped back to last as a strong pace was set. He asked for an effort over the final two furlongs and soon had the lead. They stretched clear to win by an impressive three-and-three-quarter-lengths for owners the Cosmic Cases.

Our fourth winner of the day came at Ripon with Doctor Cross. He’s been running consistently well so it was great to see him get his head in front. He was held up in mid-division by jockey Jack Garritty. He was switched to the outside and made headway over the final two furlongs. He lead entering the final furlong and stayed on to win by  two-lengths for owners Havelock Racing.
