It was fantastic to see Darrington back in the winners enclosure at Hamilton. He was dropping downing in class after not really firing this season. He was sent off the short priced favourite and was always prominent under jockey Tony Hamilton. When Tony asked him to pick up inside the final furlong he pulled clear to win by one-and-three-quarter-lengths. That will have done his confidence the world of a good and a great result for owner Norman Collins who’s had to be patient with him.
