SEVEN-LENGTH WIN FOR CULLINGWORTH

Cullingworth put it a dominant performance at Ripon to win by seven-lengths. He made all under jockey Barry McHugh and pulled clear under hands and heels to hand owners Tiffin Sandwiches Limited a memorable win. We’ll now look for a race quite quickly before the handicapper has his say.

SAMMY JO BACK IN WINNERS ENCLOSURE

It was fantastic to see Sammy Jo back in the winners enclosure. She has worked hard to come back from a terrible injury and all the hard work has paid off. She took the ride on Cullingworth who was sent off a 16 to 1 shot for the Royal Mile at Musselburgh. She sat in mid-division and started to make headway over the final two furlongs. She came down the middle of the track and challenged a furlong out. Cullingworth battled with Grey Britain to the line but stayed on well to win by a head.

FIRST TWO-YEAR-OLD WINNER

It was great to have our first two-year-old winner of the season. Cullingworth was disappointing at Wolverhampton on his first start and he was the outsider of the field at Redcar. His first run must have done him the world of good as he knew his job under Tony Hamilton. They tracked the leaders and started to chase down the leader Merry Banter inside the final furlong. He stayed on well in very testing ground and got up to win by by half a length.
