It was a great result for us and Cheveley Park Stud in the Listed race at Carlisle with a 1-2. Dance Diva sat just behind the leader under Paul Hanagan and took up the lead over a furlong out. She held on from the fast finishing Clubbable under Tony Hamilton to win by a neck. We were delighted for both fillies and it was a notable success for Mayson who’s the sire of both.

Cameo Star battled bravely to share the honours at Hamilton. He tracked the leaders under Tony Hamilton and took up the lead approaching the final furlong. He was pressed by Mr Wagyu and the pair battled to the line. It took a long time for the result of the photo finish to come though and the judge couldn’t separate them. He shared the spoils in a dead heat for Lets Go Racing 2.

Clubbable is ultra consistent and she showed a fantastic attitude to win at Chelmsford. She travelled in mid-division under Paul Hanagan and was asked for an effort approaching the final furlong. He had to be patient to get a run and they battled with Crossing The Line. Clubbable got up to win by a neck for Cheveley Park Stud.

Three winners on day one of the Dante Festival of York was absolutely fantastic. One of the most unlikely of candidates got us off the mark in George Bowen. He hadn’t won for two years after the handicapper pulled him up to a mark he simply couldn’t win at. He also has his quirks but he wasn’t for beating yesterday. He blew his rivals away under Connor Beasley and won by six-lengths. He actually ran the five furlongs quicker than Harry Angel!

Clubbable then showed a fantastic attitude to win on her seasonal reappearance. The daughter of Mayson had to battle over the final half furlong with our other runner Zap who’s a son of Mayson. The filly got it her way battling under Paul Hanagan to win by a head for Cheveley Park Stud.

Our final winner was Charming Kid winning on his debut. He put in a very eye-catching performance despite being green and won by half-a-length. He now looks Royal Ascot bound and it could be an exciting week for owners The Cool Silk Partnership who will also have Sands Of Mali running at the meeting.

We sent out our 50th individual two-year-old winner when Aljady won on debut at Redcar. The Bated Breath colt tracked the leaders under jockey Adam McNamara. They challenged a furlong out and stayed on well to win by half-a-length for owners Al Shaqab Racing.

We also handed Cheveley Park Stud their 50th winner of the season when Clubbable got her head in front after six placed efforts. She tracked the leader under jockey Paul Hanagan and despite hanging left over a furlong out took up the lead and stayed on to win by half-a-length.

We doubled up in the very next race and it was another valuable plus 10 bonus – this time it was the turn of Maybride. Paul was in the saddle once again and they sat just off the pace. She was switched for a run and as soon as she got some daylight she pulled clear over the final furlong to win by an impressive four-lengths. It was a great day for the fillies’ sire Mayson who ended up having three winners on the card.
