We had a rare winner over the jumps with Chief Justice at Worcester. He had his quirks on the flat especially coming out of the stalls but has taken to jumping really well and picked up his first win over hurdles on just his second start. He was always travelling well under Brian Hughes and he looked the winner approaching the second last. He stayed on really nicely to win by five-lengths for Cheveley Park Stud.

Ventura Gold made a nightmare journey to Lingfield worth while. He made all under jockey Silvestre De Sousa and when challenged over the final furlong he showed a great attitude under a driving finish to get up and win by a length-and-three-quarters.
