CAMEO STAR LAST TO FIRST

Cameo Star came from last to first under apprentice Sean Davis to win at Newcastle. He’s been a bit inconsistent this season so it was nice to see him win. He was happy to to sit and wait as a decent pact was set. They challenged and had the lead at the furlong pole. He stayed on strongly to win by a length-and-a-quarter for Let’s Go Racing 2.

DEAD HEAT THRILLER FOR CAMEO STAR

Cameo Star battled bravely to share the honours at Hamilton. He tracked the leaders under Tony Hamilton and took up the lead approaching the final furlong. He was pressed by Mr Wagyu and the pair battled to the line. It took a long time for the result of the photo finish to come though and the judge couldn’t separate them. He shared the spoils in a dead heat for Lets Go Racing 2.

Clubbable is ultra consistent and she showed a fantastic attitude to win at Chelmsford. She travelled in mid-division under Paul Hanagan and was asked for an effort approaching the final furlong. He had to be patient to get a run and they battled with Crossing The Line. Clubbable got up to win by a neck for Cheveley Park Stud.

CAMEO STARS AT BEVERLEY

Cameo Star secured his first win on just his second start. He was held up at the rear of the field by jockey Paul Hanagan after a stiff pace was set. He was still a bit green but started to get the hang of things and made headway approaching the final furlong. He was switched left and took up the lead and when he hit the front he stretched clear to win by a length-and-a-quarter. There were plenty of members of Let’s Go Racing 2 to welcome him back into the winners enclosure.
