Amaysmont won his second race in his last three starts at Chelmsford on Saturday under a well judged ride from apprentice Laura Pearson. Settled at the rear of the field in last, he was pushed along and began to make headway on the outer with just under two furlongs to go. He was close up when ridden a furlong out and took the lead inside final furlong, winning by two-and-three-quarter-lengths. Congratulations to owner Graham Paver.

We had a treble at Carlisle including two really nice debuts from Deb’s Delight and Amaysmont. Deb’s Delight wasn’t the quickest away and she sat towards the rear of the field under David Nolan. She chased the leaders and made a challenge approaching the final mark. She was soon clear and stayed on really strongly to win by a comfortable three lengths.

Amaysmont handed Mayson another first-time-out two-year-old winner, claiming victory by a very impressive four-and-a-half-lengths. He was held up in midfield by apprentice Sean Davis and was angled for a run approaching the final two furlongs. He kept on really well to draw clear to win for owner Graham Paver.

Sootability bought the treble up and gave Sean a double on the night. She was always in touch and was ridden to chase the leaders over a furlong out. She stayed on well to win by two-and-three-quarter-lengths for owners Norman and Helen Steel.
