We didn’t have a runner in this years Ebor at York but we still got to enjoy the excitement of the race as our apprentice jockey Adam McNamara stormed to victory on the Tony Martin trained Heartbreak City. Adam gave the six-year-old a fantastic ride, tracking Seymour down the home straight and timing his challenge perfectly to win by an impressive four lengths. Tony had asked if he could use Adam and of course the answer was yes. The horse had stayed at Musley Bank for a couple of days in the lead up to the race and it was great to see them win. The scenes in the parade ring with the owners afterwards showed how much it meant to them.

Adam appeared on The Morning Line before the race and came across brilliantly. He talks very well and is a great role model for anyone wanting to get into the industry especially if they don’t come from a racing background.
