It was another good day at the office with a three-timer on Friday. We started with a quick-fire double at Redcar with Paul in the saddle. Cognac Blue won the opener to pick up his first win. The Mayson-colt tracked the leaders and had the lead a furlong from home. He was challenged and held on well to win by half-a-length for owner Mrs Jane Newett.

It was great to see Absolute Dream also pick up his first win. He’s been knocking on the door all season! He stayed on really strongly in the soft ground when he had the lead a furlong from home. He won by three-quarters-of-a-length for owners Steve and Glen Clayton.

Amazing Michele was very impressive at Newcastle. She was always in contention under Paddy Mathers and was ridden clear entering the final furlong. She was eased down close home to win by three-and-a-quarter-lengths for Nick Bradley Racing.
